1. Pre-Trip, Ljubljana/Venice
    Enjoy a few extra days exploring Ljubjana, Slovenia, or Venice, Italy. Consider a day trip to Ptuj, Slovenia's oldest city, and explore its many cultural landmarks and architecture. You can visit museums, sample local cuisine and wine, or relax in the healing waters of the local spa.
  2. Days 1-3, Julian Alps - Bled & Triglav National Park
    Our route covers challenging and exhilarating passes in the Julian Alps, and there will be options to ride three challenging high alpine cols such as Vrsic, Managart and Predell. We'll visit Skofja Loka, the best-preserved medieval town in Slovenia, and ride through Triglav National Park. Our ride offers views of stunning lakes and Mt. Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia. Along the way we'll enjoy local cuisine in quaint mountain towns, and have an opportunity to hike, raft or kayak in the Soca Valley.
  3. Days 4-6, Soca River Valley/Brda Wine Region and Kras Karst Caves
    We'll ride through the peaceful Soca River Valley, visit the Brda wine region and the Italian town of Cividale del Friuli. Our route takes us along quiet roads in the scenic Kras Karst region, we'll discover dramatic mountain-side castles and explore Slovenia's most impressive caves.
  4. Days 7-9, The Remote Southeast
    We'll explore some of the most remote areas of Slovenia, traveling along quiet roads, vineyards, gently rolling hills and through virgin forests. We'll visit an ancient abbey with a Gothic church and sample the local wine and pear brandy. Our route follows some of the favorite training roads of the Slovenian cycling pros!
