Barcelona, Girona & the Pyrenees Bike Tour
Girona and Catalan Pyrenees

Trip Highlights
  • The tour begins and concludes in Barcelona, a city of culture, architecture and fabulous beaches.
  • Pedal through the Catalan Pyrenees and along the Costa Brava, the "Big Sur" of Spain.
  • Ride some of the pros' favorite routes in Girona, including several of Lance Armstrong's favorites.
  • Challenge yourself on the classic climbs of the Vuelta d’Espagne and Tour de France.
  • Ride the Valter 2000, one of Lance's pre-Tour de France training rides.
Join ATG on some of the best and most varied cycling terrain, including mountains, rolling hills, valleys and the Costa Brava.  Our tour traverses the high Catalunya Pyrenees, with plenty of opportunities to test your legs on challenging cols. You’ll finish in northeastern Spain in Girona, the well-known European “home away from home” to several North American professional cyclists, including Tyler Hamilton and Lance Armstrong. Spend a few days riding the same training routes the pros ride, and see why so many choose this area as their European home. You’ll enjoy two-night stays in small, boutique hotels and inns in Catalunya’s most charming villages.

What Our Guests Are Saying

"After many years of family and group bike tours in France and the U.S., the 10 days of riding in Catalunya with Gary and Lise were my most enjoyable bicycle vacation ever! Their route planning was outstanding, combining flexible cycling challenges, beautiful scenery and cultural immersion. The hotels they chose were classy, low-key and intimate. Last but not least, they fostered a congenial atmosphere among the group of 16 total strangers who quickly became best friends, while attending to every detail in an efficient and relaxed manner. If there was a gold medal for bicycle tour operators, they should get it!"
Philippe Dunoyer, Denver, CO

"If you want large busses, large groups and large, "big box" hotels, Adventure Travel Group isn't for you. BUT, if you enjoy being away from the normal tourist grind, small and friendly groups, and guides who personally have experienced every hotel, restaurant and ride, then travel with Gary and Lise. I'll soon be booking my third bike trip and now think of them as friends!"
Dave Benson, Fort Collins, CO
